		<description>I don&#039;t know if you are having this same problem. But, I did find this discussion that helped me. Mine needs an amp. I plugged my ipod(which of course has a built in amp) into the mic input on the Mac Pro and it pics up the sound as indicated through the input level under system preferences&gt;sound. So I either need to purchase a USB mic or that imic they talk about. Here is the discussion:

		<description>Your not the only one dude! I&#039;ve been having problems for about 8 out of the 9 months that I&#039;ve had my Mac Pro. Started with wireless mouse connections. We&#039;ve gone through 2 bluetooth mice and 4 USB/RF ones. Their tech support has even tried to blame our very thin particle board desk! Now I just went to plug in my mic to use for an online class and whata ya know, another problem. I did a search and found your complaint here! I just had to let you know you&#039;re not alone. I am a web/graphic design student right now and I love the computer, but this is getting ridiculous. Looks like another call to Apple tomorrow! Wish me luck! :)
